EX OFFICIO ROAD COMMISSIONER RULES

AND ROAD POLICIES

PREFACE

The Denton County Commissioners Court adopted the Ex Officio Road Commissioner system of road administration on May 25, 2003, in compliance with Texas Transportation Code Chapter 252, Subchapter A.  All public roads and bridges in the unincorporated areas of Denton County which are determined by the Commissioners Court of Denton County to be county maintained roads (“County Roads”), will be maintained by the Ex Officio Road Commissioners in compliance with Texas Transportation Code Chapters 251 and 252, these rules and the directions of the Denton County Commissioners Court.
