The artifacts are introduced in a shared, anecdotal, storytelling type dialogue. A complementary power point includes information about the Chisholm Trail, the cattle drive and the influence of the early Mexican cowboys. The presentation becomes interactive when the students reenact a cattle drive.
Prior to the start of the actual presentation, a brief description will be given of the Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum, the Courthouse, and John B. Denton's grave. The groups are encouraged to visit the Museum and Courthouse and see additional artifacts and learn more about Denton County history. nt>
