A power point about Historic Hispanic Families of Denton County is available to be taken to the schools or other community groups. The presentation includes information on the Hispanic vacqueros and the influence they had on the American cowboy culture. Artifacts from the Ranching Traveling Museum are included.
The outreach program for schools is free and open to any group in Denton County including public and private schools, senior citizen groups and other community groups in Denton County. Each presentation takes about 45 minutes.
The Hispanic exhibit is included in the organized tours of the Courthouse. Group tours are $1 pp donation.
Groups are encouraged to schedule ahead of the requested date. Please contact the Tourism Coordinator, Gretel L'Heureux, to discuss the presentations that are appropriate for each grade level.
