The Recording Department Supervisor

Stacy Welch
The recording office handles all real property records as well as marriage licenses, birth and death certificates, marks and brands, passports and assumed name certificates (DBA's). The real property information has been made extremely accessible through the
"Real Property Records Search" on the left hand menu of this page. Public terminals are also conveniently located at all 3 recording office locations in Denton, Carrollton and Cross Roads as just another option for the public to access the real property records. With all the different types of documents handled and services provided by this department, Stacy takes great pride in the knowledge the staff is able to provide to the community and the friendly manner in which they do so!
The Recording Department is located on the first floor of the Denton County Courts Building. The satellite offices are located at the Sandy Jacobs Government Center in Carrollton and the Copeland Government Center in Cross Roads.
The Courts Department Manager
- Aundrea Kenney
This department is designed to support our criminal misdemeanor courts and
the county court at law, mostly juvenile matters. Aundrea's staff files
criminal cases, records and tracks all official information regarding court
cases and collects fines and fees imposed in misdemeanor cases. With approx.
10,000 criminal misdemeanor cases filed each year, this department stays
busy! The majority of the department is located on the first floor of the
new Courts Building. However, each county court judge has a clerk in his or
her respective court.
This department is designed to support the Probate Court and
County Court at Law #2. The staff files probate, civil
and guardianship cases with in the jurisdiction. Also filed
are wills for safekeeping and Beer and Wine applications,
and bond forfeiture
collection.
These clerks serve as the official record keepers for these
courts. This department is located on the second floor of
the courts building.
Administration Department Supervisor

This department serves as the central nervous system of The County Clerk's
Office providing administrative service to the entire office and mail room for the court house, Law Library,
and supports both the Mental Health and Commissioners Courts.
Commissioners Court
- Ashley Boynton
Records the meeting and actions taken by the Denton
County Commissioners Court.
Senior Administrator
- Marta DeLeon
The administrative secretary for the office, which essentially means she knows it all!
If she doesn't, she can certainly put you in touch with whom you need to speak!
Marta also processes applications for all wet/dry elections and keeps the official
files for every city in Denton County!
The Law Library Law Librarian
- Kathleen Bransford
The law library houses legal reference books, CD-ROM libraries and law
books. The law library staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful to your
research or informational needs. The law library is on the second floor of
the Courts Building.
D'Lynne
Shelton is the Chief Deputy over the entire office. D'Lynne does it all - She is the
one in the office everyone turns to, from an entry-level clerk that needs guidance to
the supervisor that needs direction with a problem to the County Clerk that looks to
D'Lynne for support of all kinds. Everyone in the office is glad that D'Lynne is where she is!
