Receives Award
The museum received the County Best Practices
Award from the Texas Association of Counties.
In August 2008, the award was presented to
Georgia Caraway at the President’s Reception
at the Annual TAC Conference. The museum is
one of 100 African American museums in the country
and one of 10 African American museums in Texas
