Deputy Matheson
is a 35 year law enforcement veteran with the Denton Police
Department and served as Denton's Chief of Police until his
retirement in September 2001. During his career with Denton
Police Department, he served in various supervisory roles and
received many commendations/awards for outstanding service. He
and his wife, Linda, have been married 40 years and have two adult
sons. Deputy Matheson enjoys fishing, camping and playing
golf.
