Constable, Pct 1
Elected as Constable in 1996. Precinct 1
serves more Civil Papers than any other Precinct in Denton County.
Constable Dotson served in Law Enforcement for over 35 years. He began
his law enforcement career with the Denton Police Department in June of
1968 in the patrol division. In his 28+ year tenure at the Denton Police
Department he was promoted to various positions and ranks including
Juvenile Narcotics, Investigator, Patrol Sergeant and Lieutenant as well
as C.I.D. Lieutenant. In February of 1986 he earned the rank of Captain
"Division Commander" where he supervised Support Services, a 7
million plus budget, Criminal Investigation, Patrol and the Jail.
Constable Dotson holds a Masters Peace Officer License and has
certificates and awards too numerous to list. Constable Dotson and his
wife Barbara have three children and nine grandchildren.
