John Dupree, Deputy
Deputy John Dupree has been in law enforcement over 32 years beginning his career in 1969 with the Lewisville Police Department.
Dupree served in various divisions for the department such as, Patrol, Criminal Investigation, Traffic, Juveniles rising up
through the rank of Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain of Operations before retiring in April 2000. He has since worked for
the Denton County Sherriff Department and now for the Pct. 1 Constable’s office since October 2005.
In 1975 he received
an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from, then, Cooke County Junior College. He holds a Master Peace Officer Certification
with numerous certificates from attending over 1800 plus hours of law enforcement training/schools.
Dupree has been married
39 years to wife Donna and has a daughter, Lanette, a son John and daughter-in-law Sandra.
His hobbies are hunting, fishing,
golf, and going to the movies with Donna.
