Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 19th day of June, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Courthouse on the Square, Denton, Texas by Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Cynthia White, Ron Marchant and Bobbie J. Mitchell were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Deputy Clerk, Kathleen Bransford. (Comm. Eads was attending a conference.)

Court opened with an Invocation by Barbara Looper, Aide to Commissioners Court, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Amy Phillips, Director of Human Resources.

ITEM 3 RESOLUTIONS/AWARDS/REPORTS/PRESENTATIONS

3.A) Recognition of Commissioner Ron Marchant for satisfactorily completing 10 hours of organized instruction and earning one continuing education unit from the V.G. Young Institute of County Government at the 49th Annual County Judges and Commissioners’ Continuing Education Conference and Educational Exposition sponsored in cooperation with the County Judges & Commissioners Association of Texas & the Continuing and Professional Studies Office at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas on February 13-15, 2007, and any appropriate action.
