Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 1st day of January, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Courthouse on the Square, Denton, Texas by Denton County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Sandy Jacobs and Bobbie J. Mitchell were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Deputy Clerk, Kathleen Bransford. (Commissioner Ron Marchant of Precinct 2 and Commissioner Eads of Precinct 4 took their places as their oaths were administered.)

Court opened with an Invocation by John Feldt, Civil District Attorney, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Barbara Looper, Aide to Commissioners Court.
