Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 24th day of October, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Courthouse on the Square, Denton, Texas by Denton County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Cynthia White, Sandy Jacobs, Bobbie Mitchell and Jim Carter were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Deputy Clerk, Kathleen Bransford.

Court opened with an Invocation by Daniel Habersham, Security Guard for the Courthouse on the Square, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Chris Steubing, Director, Public Works/Engineering.

ITEM 2 CONSENT AGENDA

BUDGET

7.A) Approval of Intra-Departmental Transfers, and any appropriate action.

7.B) Approval of Budget Amendment Request #100120 for Comprehensive General Liability including the transfer of funds from Non-Departmental Unappropriated Insurance Contingency for Non-Departmental in the amount of $17,444, and any appropriate action. (Briefing 10-17-06)

8.A) Approval of Order Making Appointments. (Appointments have been posted and advertised. 14.B) Approval of an order setting a date and time to conduct a Public Hearing to consider the request by Huffines Communities to change the names of two (2) county roads; Huffines is requesting that the name of Bryan Road located north of U.S. Highway 380 and west of F.M 1385 be changed to Parvin Road; and that the name of Fields Road located north of U.S. Highway 380 adjacent to the new Artesia community be changed to Huffines Boulevard, with a public hearing on the name changes to be held on November 7, 2006, at 9:00 a.m, before the Commissioners Court, located in Commissioner, Precinct #1, and any appropriate action.
