Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 10th day of October, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. in Lantana Golf Club Pavilion, 800 Golf Club Drive, Lantana, Texas by Denton County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Cynthia White, Sandy Jacobs, Bobbie Mitchell and Jim Carter were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Deputy Clerk, Erin McCorkle.
Court opened with an Invocation by Reverend Holton, Pastor at Rockpoint Church, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by students from E.P. Rayzor Elementary School.
Mr. Holton: Let us pray. Father, we thank You for this day. We thank You for the blessings that You have poured out on our country, upon our County and upon our communities. We pray for Your continued wisdom and discernment and direction for our public officials. I pray a blessing upon each of them this day. Lord, I pray that You would use them to bring about the blessings of your kingdom. Lord, we thank You in advance for what you will continue to do as well as for what you have done. And we give you the glory and the honor and the praise for all that You do, for all that you will do. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
