Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 15th day of August, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Courthouse on the Square, Denton, Texas by Denton County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Cynthia White, Bobbie Mitchell and Jim Carter were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Deputy Clerk, Erin McCorkle.

Court opened with an Invocation by Jim Heath, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Beth Fleming, Purchasing Director.

Mr. Heath: Bow Your heads, please. Our Heavenly Father, thank You or this day. Thank You for this country. We thank You for our county and all it does for us. Please be with them today as they deliver our business. Be with our government as it tries to keep us safe from all terrorists throughout the world. We would ask You to please look over all of our service people throughout the world as they stand in harm's way. In Thy name we pray. Amen.
