Be it remembered, Commissioners Court of Denton County, Texas was called to order on the 4th day of April, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. in Commissioners Courtroom, 2nd Floor, Courthouse on the Square, Denton, Texas by Denton County Judge Mary Horn. Commissioners Cynthia White, Bobbie Mitchell and Jim Carter were present, along with County Clerk Cynthia Mitchell’s representative, Deputy Clerk, Erin McCorkle.
Court opened with an Invocation by Tommy Brewer, followed by the Pledges of Allegiance to the American and Texas Flags led by Georgiana McCoig, Assistant Director of Human Resources.
Mr. Brewer: Let us pray. Father God, we come to You today with a joyful heart. We see Your hand in the beauty of springtime and the renewal of life at this time of year. We ask Your special blessing on our men and woman in uniform protecting our freedom and safety both at home and abroad. Please be with our Commissioners today that their decisions made on behalf of the people of Denton County are pleasing in Your site. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
