DENTON COUNTY BAIL BOND BOARD MEETING
THURSDAY – AUGUST 25, 2005

THE DENTON COUNTY BAIL BOND BOARD SHALL MEET IN REGULAR SESSION AT
THE COURTHOUSE ON THE SQUARE, 110 WEST HICKORY, DENTON, TEXAS, IN THE
COURTROOM, TO CONSIDER AND POSSIBLY TAKE ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING
MATTERS:
I. CALL TO ORDER & ATTENDANCE VERIFICATION
II. PUBLIC INPUT FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ON THE AGENDA
Citizens should complete a witness form located on the side table.
Pursuant to state open meetings law the Denton County Bail Bond Board is
restricted in discussion or taking action on items not posted on the
agenda. Action on your statement can only be taken at a future meeting.
In order to expedite the flow of business and to provide all citizens
the opportunity to speak, the chairman may impose a five-minute limit on
any person addressing the Denton County Bail Bond Board.
III. REPORTS AND MINUTES
A. Outstanding bond report and rearrest fee report by Sheriff’s
Office. (consent)
B. NISI report by County & District Clerks. (consent)
C. Report including bonding companies, total bonding power, license
number and expiration date. (consent)
D. Monthly report from bond forfeiture attorney regarding bond
forfeiture collections.
E. Discussion and approval of minutes from the meeting of July 28,
2005.
IV. POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A. Discussion and any possible action regarding the audit of the bail
bonds at the Sheriff’s Office and suggested changes.
B. Discussion and possible action regarding copies of applications
once the Board has made a determination given the sensitive information
of identify theft.
C. Discussion and any possible action regarding the Attorney’s
Affidavit of Residency in a Bail Bond County.
D. Discussion and any possible action regarding limiting certificates
of deposit to Texas banks or banks with Texas branches.
V. APPLICATIONS AND HEARINGS
A. Discussion and any possible action regarding renewal application from
Roche Surety & Casualty Company, Inc., Christopher Scott McCoulskey,
Agent, d/b/a Ace McCoulskey’s Bail Bonds.
B. Discussion and any possible action regarding the release of lien
for property pledged to the Denton County Bail Bond Board by Donal E.
Green, owner, d/b/a Libertad Bail Bonds:
Two certain tracts or parcels of land situated in Red River County,
Texas, out of the John Hutson Survey, Abstract No. 421.
C. Discussion and any possible action regarding the request from
Financial Casualty & Surety, Kristin Mitchell, Agent, d/b/a Pre-Trial
Bail Bonds to cancel the License.
D. Discussion and any possible action regarding the request from
Financial Casualty & Surety, Agent Kristin Mitchell, d/b/a Pre-Trial
Bail Bonds to release the Certificate of Deposit placed with the Denton
County Treasurer’s Office.
E. Discussion and any possible action regarding the request from
Safety National Corporation, Michael Kohn, Agent, d/b/a Mike’s Bail
Service to release the $50,000.00 Cashier’s Check replaced with a
$50,000.00 Certificate of Deposit placed with the Denton County
Treasurer’s Office.
VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION

contemplated or pending litigation or settlement offer; section 551.072
