Since 1995, the Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.) Division has provided the growing population of Denton County with an efficient method of storing, editing, and displaying spatially-referenced data. With this shared database, County departments and the general public have access to County information, cadastral data, and other useful geographic resources.

The G.I.S. Division creates, manages, and visualizes County data that depict political and municipal boundaries, emergency service districts, road improvement projects, FEMA floodplain, fresh water districts, transportation networks, voter precincts, oil and gas wells and other publicly available data. The goal is to provide a medium to create a more informed public and increase data accessibility in Denton County.

Our maps are deployed as both printed and web map products. For current maps, see our Map Gallery.
