Bidding Procedures

Denton County advertises all Invitations to Bid and Request for Proposals in the Denton Record-Chronicle typically on Sunday of each week. The total value of each bid is estimated at $50,000 or more. Bids may be obtained through Denton County's internet portal eBid DentonCounty, powered by ionWave Technologies.

The Denton County Purchasing Department uses eBid DentonCounty, powered by ionWave Technologies, to distribute and receive bids and proposals. Suppliers pay no fees for utilizing eBid DentonCounty. To view and download entire Bid/RFP documents you must be a registered supplier. Please click on the eBid Denton County portal below to complete Supplier Registration. Please note that if you are currently registered with BidSync, you will need to register at the eBid DentonCounty portal to continue to receive notification of bid opportunities.

Packets may be picked up Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM. Suppliers may obtain bids by requesting the bid number or bid name for each set of specifications.

Bids are opened in an open forum at the Joseph A Carroll Bldg, at 2:00 PM on Monday of each week unless otherwise stated in bid specifications. Suppliers are welcome (but not required) to attend Bid Openings.

Contracts resulting from bid solicitations are awarded by Commissioners Court during the regularly scheduled Tuesday meetings. The agenda for these meetings are posted at the Courthouse-on-the-Square.
